EPPO Investigates €100 Million VAT Carousel Fraud Involving Luxury Car Sales
The European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) has launched Operation Javelin, targeting an alleged criminal network suspected of carrying out cross-border VAT fraud through the trade in luxury vehicles. The investigation estimates that the scheme caused approximately €100 million in losses to the public budgets of the European Union and its Member States.
